Tuscany has hundreds of wedding venues and almost all of them look beautiful in photographs. The differences show up in details that directories leave out: how many guests sit down to dinner rather than stand at a reception, how many can stay the night, whether the place is yours alone, how late the music may play and how far it is from the airport. Types of wedding venue in Tuscany
Villas and historic gardens
From Renaissance villas with lemon houses on the hills by Florence and Lucca to country houses where guests stay the whole weekend.
Wine estates and farms
Estates with vineyards in Chianti and agriturismi in Val d'Orcia and the Maremma: dinner among the vines or under a pergola, food from the farm.
Castles and whole borghi
Fortified walls, courtyards and medieval hamlets let as a whole, with guest rooms in the old houses.
The Versilia coast
Beach clubs, villas in the pine woods and hill terraces above the sea, each with its own season and its own rules on music.
Town halls and public monuments
Comune halls in historic towns and a few monuments, such as the abbey of San Galgano, where legal ceremonies take place.

Exclusive use means no outsiders on the property on your day. We check whether it covers the pool, the garden and the car park as well.
Music hours
The finishing time depends on the owner's rules and the comune. We find it out before booking, because it changes the whole evening.

What are the best wedding venues in Tuscany?
The best venue is the one that fits your guest count, season and format. A wedding for twenty and a wedding for a hundred and twenty need very different places, so we start from your list, not from a ranking.
Where should we get married in Tuscany?
Florence and its hills suit guests who like the city, Chianti offers wineries and castles, Val d'Orcia space and seclusion, Versilia the sea. Lucca, the Maremma and the countryside around Arezzo are fine choices too, and we will tell you which fits your idea.
Which Tuscany wedding venues have accommodation?
Mostly country villas, borghi and agriturismi, less often castles. Historic villas near the towns and beach clubs usually have no overnight stays. We count the beds and add nearby hotels where needed.
How far are Tuscan wedding venues from the airports?
Florence and Pisa airports are closest to Florence, Chianti, Lucca and the coast, while Val d'Orcia and the Maremma take noticeably longer. We time the drive for the actual venue and suggest guests from abroad arrive the day before.
Why is there no list of named venues on your site?
Terms at private venues change from season to season, and a list that suits one couple is useless to the next. We shortlist after your request, check the dates and show only what fits.
