Private gala dinner in Tuscany

A formal dinner at one table in a historic hall or on a lawn, with service and a programme led by the host of the evening.

A private gala dinner is hosted by a family or a circle of friends to mark a jubilee, a homecoming or a charity evening. What matters is not scale but order: the seating, the pace of the courses, the toasts and the hour at which the guests rise from the table. We select a historic hall, an inner courtyard or a villa lawn where a long table can be laid, and we organise the service. The coordinator leads the whole preparation: agrees the hall, the kitchen, the service and the musicians, and you receive a written estimate and a seating plan in advance.

What we arrange

01

A hall or a lawn

A historic palazzo hall, a villa terrace or a lawn under the open sky. We check capacity, lighting and the owner's rules.

02

Seating plan

One long table or several round ones, name cards, places for guests of honour. We agree the plan with you before the invitations go out.

03

Dinner and wines

A menu of several courses, a wine list and a sommelier for a large dinner. We agree the service with the venue's chef.

04

Service

Waiting staff in uniform, advance table setting and a precise serving schedule. The service works unobtrusively so the guests are not distracted.

05

Evening programme

A welcome drink, the host's speech, music during dinner, dessert and, if wanted, a charity appeal. A master of ceremonies watches the time.

06

Light, flowers and music

Candles and soft light, arrangements in the colours of the hall, a string quartet or a jazz trio. The choice depends on the room.

What sets a private gala apart

The host stays a guest

We take over the organisational questions so that the family greets its guests instead of watching the waiters.

Protocol without stiffness

Seating, the order of toasts and the sequence of the courses are planned so that the evening is formal but not stiff.

A charity evening from a family

If the dinner includes fundraising, we organise the presentation and the way donations are made. The family chooses the beneficiary; we take care of the format of the evening.

Historic halls come with conditions

Palazzi and listed buildings restrict candles, decor and floor load. We find out the limits before the layout is approved.

Frequently asked questions

How many guests suit a gala dinner?

Most often twenty to sixty, which keeps a single table. With more guests we split them across several tables with a clear seating plan.

Can the dinner be held in a historic hall?

Yes, with the consent of the owner or the building's manager. Listed buildings restrict decor and open flame, and we find out the limits in advance.

What dress code is usual at a gala dinner?

The host chooses the format: black tie, dark suit or smart casual. We state it on the invitation.

Can the dinner be combined with a charity appeal?

Yes. We plan the moment of the presentation, the format of the appeal and how the funds are passed on. The family decides on the beneficiary and the terms.

How should guests from different circles be seated?

We propose a plan in which neighbours can find a common conversation and we discuss it with you. The decision stays with the host.
