Wedding in Florence
A celebration in the historic centre or on the hills above the city, planned around the limits that only Florence has.
Florence suits a couple who want a city: historic palazzi, inner courtyards, terraces facing Brunelleschi's dome and gardens on the surrounding hills. Guests arrive easily, with an airport and a station close by, and the programme can include a walk through the centre. Behind the beauty sit practical questions: the limited traffic zone (ZTL), narrow streets, noise rules and music hours, and permission for photos in public places. We settle these in advance, not on the wedding day.
What we arrange in Florence
Palazzi and city halls
We find a historic building or hall for your guest count and check rental terms, set-up restrictions and closing times.
A terrace with Duomo views
A ceremony or aperitif on a rooftop facing the skyline: we check the light at sunset, the wind and an indoor fallback in case of rain.
Villas on the Fiesole hills
If you want a garden and quiet, we suggest villas above the city that are a short drive from the centre, with a shuttle for guests.
Permits and ZTL
We arrange passes for suppliers and vehicles in the limited traffic zone and agree how equipment and flowers are delivered.
A photo walk through the city
We plan the shoot along the Arno, the bridges and the squares so it finishes before sunset and does not fight the tourist flow.
For guests visiting the city
We suggest hotels close to the venue, organise a welcome dinner and the ride back after the celebration.
Tell us about your celebration
Tell us the occasion, the date and the number of guests. We will suggest a format, a venue and vendors, and prepare a fixed written estimate before any work starts.
Why Florence calls for a local planner
We work in the city where we live
Our office is in Florence, so site visits and supplier meetings happen in person, without travelling from another region.
We know the rules of the centre
Deliveries, parking, passes and noise limits in the historic centre differ from country villas. We build them into the timing and the estimate.
A flexible shape for the day
A ceremony in one place, dinner in another and an after-party in a third is possible, if the transfers and timing between them are planned.
A plan B for every date
For open terraces we agree an indoor room or a tent in advance, so a decision to move is taken by an agreed deadline, not in a panic.
Questions about a wedding in Florence
Can we marry officially in Florence?
Civil ceremonies are performed by the municipality, and the requirements depend on citizenship. The list of documents and the available halls must be confirmed with the comune and your consulate, and we help set out the order of steps.
When is the best time to choose a date in Florence?
Spring and early autumn are the most comfortable, as summer in the city is hot and crowded. Large events in the centre also carry restrictions, so it is worth agreeing the date early.
Is music allowed late in central Florence?
Hours and volume depend on municipal rules and the terms of the specific venue. Enclosed grounds often allow more than open terraces, but we do not promise anything until we have checked the place.
Are the Fiesole hills a good option if we want more greenery?
Yes, Fiesole gives gardens and views over the city with a short drive from the centre. The road and a shuttle schedule need to be planned for guests who will not be driving.
How will guests reach the venue?
The Florence airport is a short ride from the centre, Pisa is further. We arrange pick-up and transfers between the hotel and the venue, so guests do not hunt for a taxi at night.
